Where to take the Basic Theory Test (BTT)

The Basis Theory Test (BTT)

The purpose of the BTT is to test your knowledge of the rules and regulations of the road, the traffic signals and signs. Therefore a copy of the Basic Theory handbook is available at most major bookshops like Popular, Kinokuniya, Borders, or any test centres mentioned below.

Once you pass the BTT, you are ready to apply for Provisional Driving License (PDL). The BTT will be valid forever with no expired unless license revoke or suspend and required to re-take again.

How book and what to bring to book for BTT?
You can book for the Basic Theory Test (BTT) at the counter of the driving school with following items/documents:

  • NRIC Identity Card (Singaporean / Permanent Resident)
  • Passport & Work Permit / Employment Pass (Applicable for Foreigner)
  • You will be given a test fee receipt indicating the date & time of your test and the venue of the test.
  • S$ 6.00 (Test Fee) payable by Cashcard or NETS

  2. If you have no intention to continue to take driving lessons it's a waste of your time and money starting. Pupils start with good intentions but if they are not 100% committed it is a waste of their time and money even starting. driving school
